Quilted Shoes Workshop
Join us to make a pair of quilted sneakers! Austin Modern Quilt Guild President, Tessa Gonzales, will guide us through the process of designing, and constructing your own pair of quilted sneakers!

Materials Required to purchase in advance:

Buckle Bee Bags - Happy Feet! Quilted Sneaker Kit

Instructions, the shoe inserts and everything you need for attaching the soles to the uppers are included in this kit. The kits are frequently restocked.

If you have trouble finding your size - try Tandy Leather and/or Maker's Leather Supply. Search for "sneaker kit" on their website(s).

You’ll need 2 yards of 1.75” binding
-
½ yard of quilting weight cotton for the uppers, tongue, and binding
-
¼ yard (Fat Quarter preferred) for lining

½ yard double sided fusible foam (Bosal In-R-Form, or Pellon Flex Foam FF79F2)

½ yard midweight fusible interfacing (Pellon SF101)

⅜” Two Part eyelets (36 of them). Hammer will be provided.

Laces 60” for high tops, 45” for low tops

We will assemble the shoes in the workshop. Be sure to do any “piecing” of your quilt top before you come to class. Assembling your quilt sandwich, quilting and cutting the pattern pieces will be done in class.
