Welcome to the Austin Modern Quilt Guild!The Austin MQG’s mission is to support and encourage the growth and development of modern quilting through art, education, and community. Since 2012, we have provided educational programming, exciting events, and community outreach opportunities to our members.
Become a member
Membership in our guild is open to any individual interested in modern quilting! We have members of all skill levels, from brand new quilters to QuiltCon prize winners. Our guild does not discriminate based on the prospective member’s sex, gender identity, race, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability.

AMQG at Austin Studio Tour!AMQG is participating in Austin Studio Tour for the first time in November 2025! Come visit us in our Studio to to see handmade quilts on display and learn about modern quilting. We'll also have make and take crafts, stickers, and some scrap fabric bundles for sale! |

Connecting Threads ExhibitionMember's Quilts will be displayed at Dougherty Art Center. Exhibit will run from November 22, 2025 - January 10, 2026. In- Person & Virtual BeesAMQG hosts in person and virtual (via Zoom) quilting bees and sew-ins.
