AMQG Early Summer Retreat 2023

Early summer projects! Join fellow AMQG quilters at the Mountain Laurel Retreat (a little more than an hour from Austin, north of New Braunfels), Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30.  Open to current AMQG members. 

Registrants will receive important follow up emails from coordinators with more information.

Here's some basic logistics info: 

• New retreat center on seven acres, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, light and airy design studio, and equipped kitchen.  Houses 10-12 guests total, but note two king size beds.  Guests 11 and 12 would need to share king bed.
• Registration fee is $150 for the two nights/three days.  Fee does not cover any food or any materials or supplies for quilting (but if you need something there are shops in New Braunfels).
• This is a casual retreat with no specific structured activities - bring whatever projects you want to work on!
• A designated AMQG member will be on site for the duration of the event to help with coordination.
• Food may be coordinated by the group of registrants, or you can do you own thing (food is not included in the cost of this retreat with the exception of coffee and tea provided by the center).
• All registrants will be asked to take a COVID-19 home test and share their test results with the rest of the group before coming out to the retreat.
• Masks will not be required at the retreat (but you are welcome to wear one); only folks who test negative, do not have COVID-19 symptoms, and do not have recent direct exposure will be able to come (a full refund will be issued to folks who test positive, have symptoms, or direct exposure). 
• Check in is at 12:00 noon on Friday 04/28, check out is at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday 04/30.
• Sleeping arrangements are shared rooms, with eight twin beds and two king beds (2-4 people per room, 3 bedrooms).
