Looking for a weekend of sewing without any interruptions? Join fellow quilty friends for two days of sewing at

Over The Top Quilting Studio in Cedar Park.

Sew with your friends during the day, sleep in your own bed at night.

Dates and Times:
Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 9:00am - 9:00pm

Sunday, September 27, 2026 from 9:00am - 6:00pm

Cost: $65 for the weekend

Registration Limit: 8

The studio has design walls, cutting tables, ironing stations, refrigerator.

Registration for this event will open 60 days prior to the start of the event.

AMQG Quilt Camp (Friday, November 06, 2026)

Come sew together at the Wild Flower Hall at McKinney Roughs Park in Bastrop for three days and two nights. We will have sewing space, catered meals, and activities. We will be staying in bunkhouses.

Limited scholarships available based on financial need. Please email events@austinmodernquiltguild.com for more information.

Workshops will be available at an additional fee (registration coming soon).

AMQG Quilt Camp is a perfect opportunity to explore the connections between sewing and craft with nature and sustainability!

What to expect:
- Daily open sewing in the hall - bring all your materials, tools, and supplies
- Free optional activities and demos
- Workshops available for an additional fee (registration coming soon!)
- Accommodations: climate controlled bunk houses (with opportunities to request a bottom bunk), restroom + showers, bring your own bed and bath linens
- Catered meals with drinks and snacks
- Approximately 50 participants all hanging out and making crafty magic together
- No smoking on property; be respectful of personal property, nature, and others
- Organizers will send an additional survey to capture dietary preferences, accessibility needs, and participant info

Quilt Camp Block Print Workshop (Saturday, November 07, 2026)

Block Print Workshop

Join us to explore the art of carving on Lino block and creating beautiful prints on fabric! We’ll be carving a 4 x 4 inch Lino block together. Feel free to bring your own image to carve, or you can use one of the images we’ll provide. Just bring your creativity, and we’ll take care of all the other materials. We’ll print several squares to share with the class, and everyone will get multiple prints to use in a quilt, bag, or any other project you like.

Quilt Camp Workshop Bees wax wraps (Saturday, November 07, 2026)

Just a heads-up: you’ll need to be registered for Quilt Camp to join this workshop. It’s a great chance to unwind and pick up a new hobby.

Learn to make your own Bees Wax Wraps. Reduce your need for single use plastic. These food safe wraps are a good way to use up scraps. You will make three or four wraps in this workshop.

All supplies will be provided. We will have fabric scraps to use but you can bring your own for a desired look.

Using colorful fabrics and a simple tucking technique, you'll create a finished design with the rich texture and dimension of appliqué. No sewing machine or needle required! This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves working with fabric. You'll learn the basics of Kinusaiga, complete a beautiful project to take home, and discover a creative technique that's as enjoyable as it is rewarding. Come ready to experiment, play with color, and add a new skill to your creative toolbox!

Austin Studio Tours 2026 Sew Day and Volunteer (Saturday, November 14, 2026)

Volunteers will be busy with make and take crafts, hanging quilts, and handing out stickers and flyers. It’s a great chance to connect with the community and share what the guild is all about.
